So apparently part of the band is called Shimshak. I assume this is Hebrew for 'gawky Jews with guitars who do not suck' because these gawky Jews with guitars do NOT suck. Middle Eastern inflected rock. electric guitars that sound like ouds. Lot of young Upper West Side orthodox in here. Hipper than i'd expect. Still pretty sedate. More to come.
